The XVI Meeting of Balkan Clinical Laboratory Federation was co-organized with the 7th Hellenic Congress of Clinical Chemistry and was held in Athens, 16-19 October 2008. The Meeting was organized by the Greek Society of Clinical Chemistry-Clinical Biochemistry (GSCC-CB) under the auspices of IFCC (International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine) and EFCC (European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine).

REPORT OF THE 15th BCLF MEETING, ANTALYA

The 15th Balkan Clinical Laboratory Federation (BCLF) Meeting was held on September 4-7, 2007 in Antalya, Turkey. Organized by the Turkish Biochemical Society (TBS) under the auspices of the International and European Federations of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC and EFCC), the Meeting attracted 490 participants (322 from Turkey, 133 from the other Balkan countries and 35 from the rest of the world). The participant distribution is depicted in Figure 1. REPORT OF THE 13th BCLF MEETING, TIRANA


Number of participants: c. 200.
Participants registered from each country were:

1. Albania 120 participants
2. North Macedonia 10 participants
3. Serbia & Montenegro 13 participants
4. Bosnia & Herzegovina 4 participants
5. Greece 16 participants
6. Bulgaria 20 participants
7. Romania 5 participants
8. Turkey 13 participants

The Meeting was organized into 7 scientific symposiums. There were two plenary lectures, 13 lectures (25 min) and 16 oral presentations (12 min), two workshops and 140 poster presentations. All lectures, oral presentations and abstracts were published in the 13th BCLF Abstract Book...
