BCLF MEETING GUIDELINES

1. Language: English.

2. All lectures 25 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion.

3. All oral presentations 12 minutes plus 3 minutes discussion.

4. A plenary lecture can last up to 40 minutes. The plenary lecturer will be the choice of the country
organizing the meeting.

5. Nine lectures, one from each member country. Lecturers will be proposed from member countries.

6. Seven lectures, from outside the Balkans by well-established international speakers, or by additional
speakers from the member countries.

7. Oral presentations: at least two from each member country, proposed by member countries.

8. Posters from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Poster attendance one hour per day after lunch. Prizes will not be
awarded to posters not presented or not attended by the authors.

9. Days of Meeting:

Wednesday afternoon: Opening Ceremony, Plenary Lecture
Thursday:
Sessions
Friday:
Sessions
Saturday:
Excursion
Wednesday - Friday:
Commercial Exhibition.

10. The program and the abstracts should be published in the Balkan Journal of Clinical Laboratory
(BCLF). This would be one of the issues of BJCL. A selection of presentations would provide material
for the other 3 issues of the Journal, thus satisfying the requirements for inclusion in the Current Contents and Science Citations Index (4 issues a year, to be verified).

11. The Program should list all authors, title of abstract, affiliations of authors and the abstract itself. If no abstract is submitted, as sometimes is done by senior lecturers, the space of the text of the abstract should be left blank, but all the details (author, title, affiliation) should be given. This is common
practice in major congresses.
